A four days fun filled adventurous experience awaits you!
We’ll start our day by picking you up from the hotel at 5:30 am. Then, we’ll embark on a scenic 3-hour journey in our tourist transport to Abra Málaga (4350msnm). Along the way, you’ll be captivated by the picturesque and alluring sights of Chincheros and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At Abra Málaga, we’ll commence our 3-hour downhill bike ride through the jungle’s eyebrow, passing rustic villages, fruit fields, and rivers. Our journey will lead us to the Huamanmarca archaeological complex, where a guided tour awaits. We’ll spend the night in Santa María.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our trek at 6 am, walking along the banks of the Vilcanota River, crossing oroyas and pedestrian bridges. This route offers glimpses of original Inca roads and takes us deeper into the jungle, where you’ll encounter coca and coffee plantations. The journey presents opportunities to savor exotic fruits like mangoes, pineapples, oranges, and avocados, alongside medicinal plants and native bird species. Our lunch break will be in Kellomayo, and we’ll also visit the Cocalmayo hot springs for a rejuvenating bath. For the adventurous souls, optional rafting (additional USD 25.00) is available. We’ll then arrive in Santa Teresa, where a lodge will provide our accommodation.
Following breakfast, we’ll continue our trek, crossing the oroya, and visit the Intihuatana archaeological complex with a guided tour. This route showcases the region’s rich flora and fauna, with breathtaking views of the magnificent silhouette of Machu Picchu. We’ll reach Machupicchu Pueblo (also known as Aguas Calientes) at approximately 17:00 pm. At 7:00 pm, our guide will host an informative talk about the visit to Machu Picchu the next day.
